St John’s teachers always strive to make learning engaging and entertaining. Our Double Trouble maths day certainly lived up to this desire.
There was Double Trouble at St John’s School in Sevenoaks this week when the school celebrated 120 years since it opened and the grand total of 240 pupils on role.
A Maths trail around the school had all pupils hunting for the answers to double maths problems:
Every pupil made a puppet double of themselves:
Every Pupil decorated two cup cakes – one to devour and one to sell to raise money.
Our dancers performed a double dance:
Year 6 sang a song in rounds of 2 then 4, 8 and lastly 16!
Thank you to all who invested so much time and energy in ensuring these days were so full and worthwhile. Special thanks to Jane Gillhouley and all the staff and volunteers – superb examples of St John’s co-operation and ambition!
