As part of their Judaism topic, Class 3 visited Bromley Reform Synagogue. They learned a lot about the Jewish festivals and were taken on a tour of the synagogue. The children impressed the group leader with their knowledge of Hannukah, Pesach and the Torah.

The highlight for the children was the revealing of the Torah sctolls, which were beautifully decorated. The children were able to go and ‘read’ the scrolls using a ‘Yad’.

We were treated to a brief visit by the Rabbi, who answered our questions about the similarities and differences between the role of the vicar and that of a Rabbi.
