On Tuesday 5th March Year 3 walked in the beautiful sunshine to Sevenoaks school to take part in Science Junkies – Extreme Sports.
During the action packed one-hour show, we learnt about the science behind free running, climbing and surfing. We experienced a wind tunnel to see how sports engineers give Chris Hoy the edge over his fellow cyclists, discussed why the high tech swim-suits have been banned in the 2012 Olympics and looked at the incredible technology behind Oscar Pistorius’ ‘Cheetahs’.
The show was very informative and lots of fun!
