Class 1 read ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. They enjoyed it so much they decided to make their own sandwiches. To help them decide what sandwiches to make they made bar charts of everyone’s favourite sandwich fillings. The children also wrote shopping lists ready for their trip to Waitrose to buy the ingredients.
“We walked to Waitrose to buy food to make sandwiches. We were given a bag to put the food in. Then we went to the till and paid for the food.”
